FACT'S ABOUT CAMPERDOWN
Camperdown was named by Governor William Bligh, who received a grant of 240 acres (1 km²) of land covering present day Camperdown and parts of Newtown, from the Battle of Camperdown. In 1899 the people of Camperdown complained to the Water and sewerage board that they had spent £15,000 to improve the insanitary conditions and further works were required. There was run off from the surrounding boroughs of Newtown, Petersham and Annandale that flowed through dirty creek, the length of their municipality crossing Parramatta Road at the Toll Bar. Today, Camperdown is a heavily populated vibrant suburb, home to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, the University of Sydney and the historic Camperdown Cemetery.

Shared Story in Plumber Camperdown
Tristan received a letter from Sydney Water in regards to his Café. The letter instructed him that he needed a grease trap installed for it to continue trading. Tristan knew just who to call. He had used and trusted the local neighbourhood plumber several times in the past for the café, as well as his house. The plumber was there the very next day and arranged a quote for the grease trap. Tristan went ahead with the job straight away as the café was his only source of income. The plumber installed the grease trap as per the requirements of Sydney Water and the Café was permitted to continue trading throughout the works. The plumber organized everything, Tristan did not have to life a finger, he could just keep working. The plumber organized the materials, the onsite inspection from Sydney Water to ensure it was all correct and on completion he sent all the plans to Sydney Water for approval. Tristan was delighted at the response from his local neighbourhood plumber, and so relieved it did not require any extra work from him.
